I got this from a site called Green Wedding Shoes, I am completely in love with this, and I plan on making it this summer when I redo my bed room. You could use this for a wedding or just a rocking DIY decor piece, either way it is a MUST!!
Materials Needed:
- Piece of wood- the bigger the more dramatic!
- String- used in the picture is pink neon thin rope you can find at Home Depot, but you use any yarn
or string. - Box of Nails (you want a nail with a decent head so the string won't pop off)
- Spray Paint- paint the wood any color your heart (pun intended) desires.
- White Paper- to draw the heart on
Step 1: Spray paint the wood the background color you picked. In the picture it is dark gray, so the pink really pops.
Step 2: Once the paint is dry, tape the wood with the white paper and draw the heart shape on the paper.
Step 3: Time to get the hammer out! Nail around the entire outline of the heart- the pictured one has the nails spaced about an inch apart.
Awesome enough it only costs about 35 dollars to make, can not beat that for home decor or a wedding accessories.
